On the other hand, perhaps you are a great pianist, but you can only play with piano music and you have none with you. In this article, I will show you how to sit down at the piano and just play. I am talking about improvising; something anyone can do.

Musically inclined students who desire to be professional musicians are more inclined to choose traditional instructor led guitar courses. They need the one to one guidance. They will not be able to get this privilege from online lessons.

Another way to improvise on the piano is to play a game I call "Finish the Melody." To do this, play one note. Then, let go of that note and play it again, followed by another note. Then let go again and play those two notes adding another note. Continue in this fashion until you can not remember all of your melody. Then start a new one. Maybe this melody starts on a new note. If you are a good singer, singing helps develop your melodies. So, sing.

For some challenging goals or super hard riffs, you may have to take breaks for a few minutes, or even work consecutively for days on them to get them fast and clean, just remember to start slow, began where you left off, or slower, and keep going. The big hullabaloo from Roland Emmerich's film 2012, and all the disaster films we've been seeing for the last 50-60 years or so is scaring the heck out of viewers. So badly are they scared of the end that they are watching the same movies of disaster, over and over, with different actors, different titles, and different producers - all aimed to scare you and empty your pockets.

The World Isn't Coming To An End, it's just scary Hollywood, or Horrorwood - as some label it.

Let's get real. Let's discuss some of the pin-point targets:

1. The World Will End With Planetary Alignment and the repositioning of the Earth along the Galactic Equator - .... R-I-G-H-T! The phenomena of placement of the stars and galaxies in space is not new. These things have occurred before, and it wasn't the end of the world. Actually, the date predicted, Winter Solstice, 2012 is not as significant as other astronomical phenomena happening before this. This is just fear-mongering of the formerly unemployed ' of the world writers' with nothing better to do than create movies to scare the bejesus out of little kids.

2. The Mayan Prophesy says the world is coming to an end. There is no known prophesy that the world is coming to an End and whoever said that should know that it can't be. The records of the Maya civilization were effectively destroyed, like all other Meso-American histories by the Conquering Spanish, and what was kept - was kept in secret archives to keep the truth away from the public because it would destroy the Catholic Church. The evidence indicated that the majority of the Meso-American population was, in fact, the lost tribes of Israel. This was written by Franciscan Monks at the time of the invasion, and British and other archeologists later. The actual Mayan Prophesy was simple - 'Live naturally, in natural time, or your biosphere (Earth - our mother ship) would not survive. We'll we did it. No lying about that. For the past umpteen years, we have been just like conquerors, raping, murdering, and killing mother earth. OOPS! I didn't do it - you didn't do it - the politicians allowed it - all for greed. Oil, Gold, Silver - rape the earth suffers the consequences. The end date of the Mayan Calendar had nothing to do with the end of the planet, it had to do with the end of an era.

2a. When the Earth was first inhabited there was something of a 3 degree axis tilt and the planet was green, and water blue, and life was abundant. What by the name of God have we done to our mother?

2b. We're at 23 degree wobble now. Yes, something is happening, changes are occurring, but it's not the end. It scares people to think that changes are coming - people fear change. CHANGE IS GOOD!

2c. Do you think that people will die? Of course, people are already dying. Yes, we've burned fossil fuels, destroyed our air, cut down our forests, created deserts where there were none before and previously the planet cleansed itself with great floods. People are dying, we are more aware since Hurricane Katrina, that things are not right due to global warming, and Tsunamis, great floods, and thousands more deaths in countries where floods were a rarity.

2d. Species are dying. Faster than ever before species are disappearing. One indication that might be considered, or two, are the frog population which began disappearing a few years back, and the bees. We are impacting nature and we don't step lightly - our footprint is huge and visible, and we are destroying all of life without mistreatment of our mother.

2e. More diseases, more horrible, more incurable - a sick society and planet produce all forms of diseases.

3. Human Nature - It's obvious that the nature of the human being is to conquer. The continuous development of warfare, atomic, and nuclear weaponry is solely aimed at the destruction of mankind and hurting the planet. Previously, we had been the only big bully playing with nukes, now every schoolyard bully has them and someone is likely to play war games just to demonstrate my 'thing' is bigger than your 'thing'.

3a. Human Belief in Ancient Religions - I must mention this, because this is the greatest manipulation of human beings on Earth. Sorry, priest, ministers, rabbis, I honor you all for what you know, but your DOGMA is not helping the situation. Each one of you has chosen an individual branch as part of the Tree of Life, and none of you are on the Expressway to God. Please stop telling your people they are sinners - as men of God, many of you have been caught with your own pants down around your ankles and some honey taking some money for some SINFUL and LUSTFUL experience you needed to have. It may not have been you, but we all know of whom I speak. I am not judging you - just stop judging others and stop playing the blame game which results in guilt. As you know - guilt has absolutely no survival value, it is responsible for many illnesses that do not resolve and result in death. Stop guilting others, or ...

3b. Humans Mistreat Each Other and Mother Earth - imagine all the drilling, the cutting of trees, the burning of fields, everything normal and beautiful of earth destroyed by greed to steal the resources and be billionaires, all at the cost of our mother. Imagine our planet as a great big fluffy dog, filled with life. And the dog feels the burring of something drilling into it - just like a flea. And another, burning like burning the trees - the dog begins to scratch and shake fiercely and the fleas fall off. You got a parachute for when this happens to us?

4. The Mayan Calendar is Ending - Interestingly enough does end on the Winter Solstice, 2012. Why? Not because it's the end of the world - it's just the end of the 5th Cycle of Life on the Planet. The 6th Cycle that begins immediately thereafter and is called the Age of Enlightenment. It's sounds like an exciting time to be alive - so get prepared!

WELCOME - this is reality.

Many of us will fall off, many of us will die. Those who are not prepared, and those who think they are better or more greater, more important or more powerful than Mother Earth that we live on, will suffer.

Richard Branson is really making his fleet of Intergalactic Space ships to take the rich and wealthy off the planet, just like Roland Emmerich has set of Arks in his movie. Branson's ticket price is much cheaper.

I'D RATHER STAY HERE ON EARTH

In 1987, the Harmonic Convergence, as written about by Dr. Jose Arguelles, and my participation in it - by travels through endless ruins, culminating at the El Tule Tree in Oaxaca in Mexico, spoke the prophesy that we had 25 years left of life as we knew it. We must return to natural, non-destructive living. We blew it!

The cards are on the table. Disasters are not caused by nature but by those politicians who paid no heed to the warnings 20-30 years ago. Politicians refused to grant health to the planet at Kyoto and the disastrous earth changes continued. Want someone to blame - Blame George W. Bush!

What can the scenario possibly be -- to cause the end of life as we know it? Who knows, asteroids, meteorites, some crazy Anti-Semitic Iranian ex-president who stole the presidency from the people in order to try to wipe out the State of Israel, some angry Korean president who is dying because of his anger at the United States over a 60 year old situation, or errors by our own major powers in their thinking that nuclear energy is stable enough to survive what our earth going through with hurricanes, tsunamis, typhoons, earthquakes, while this huge dog is shaking off us fleas.

Like a Boy Scout: Be prepared. More than anything else - it's your mind and soul that need preparation. Since we all know that the soul is immortal, you will survive in one form or another. Stupidly Easy Guitar Lessons

Guitar and music in general is personally one of the most fulfilling hobbies you can pick up. Music is blind to color, culture and deaf to language. Any person can simply take pleasure in any style and truly sense it. It's extremely stimulating when you blast out a power chord through an amp at a rocking decibel. Or singing out songs over your acoustic for family and friends. Releasing your feelings and emotions through sound is a truly mind-blowing moment. So lets jump right into some easy guitar lessons.

One more thing to the newbies before we start. Do not give up and have patience. I will never forget grabbing my first guitar for the first time knowing I would be jamming to my favorite CDs immediately. Boy was I wrong. I couldn't even get a single note to sound out clearly and definitely couldn't hold multiple fingers to form a chord. I didn't give up, I adjusted my goals and stuck to it.

For most people, playing the guitar for the first time is not simple, your fingers most likely will not go where you want them to. So you need to do drills to get them better. No secrets here to playing guitar, just training and repetition. I'm not the first person in your life to tell you this, practice makes perfect. This first stage of guitar is about getting your fingers strong and bendable. It can become tedious sometimes so I would work in front of the TV until I improved.

Getting both hands to play nicely as one is also going to take some practice so don't get dispirited. Your fingers are going to hurt at first so play through it as long as possible and then take a breather. Calluses will build up on your finger tips and the soreness will go away. Trust me the worst part about beginning guitar is beginning guitar. Please just stick with it and battle through it, the rewards will be immeasurable.

So let's start with your strumming hand. This is your picking hand and your rhythm hand. You can use a pick or your fingers. Practice picking slowly and steady, alternating down and up. Start slow and play along as you tap your foot to keep in time. Down, up, down, up, down, etc. alternating slowly. Don't rush this, build up speed as you get comfortable. Practice this on 1 string then move on to 2 strings, then 3 strings and so on as if you were practicing chords. When beginning or practicing in front of the TV you can mute the strings with your other hand to really pay attention to the rhythm.

Ok how about that fretting hand. This is the hand that is going to pick out the notes to be played. This is the hand that also may start to hurt and the hand that doesn't seem to know what it is doing when first beginning. Again take it slow, take it steady, and please be patient. We need to get all four fingers working with each other. Now it is easy to skip out on the pinkie training because they are the hardest, do Not do this. If something feels uncomfortable when playing guitar it just means you need to practice more.

So here is the nitty gritty exercise to get you smoking on that fret board. On fret one of your low E string press down strongly with your index finger. While still pressing use your middle finger on fret 2. While holding both down press your ring finger on fret 3. And of course the pinkie on fret four . As you are doing this you should be picking, always alternating, down and up, down and up. You then simply back up this process by lifting your pinkie first, then ring, etc So press 1, 2, 3, 4 and then reverse 4,3,2,1 while alternating your picking down and up.

Start this exercise slow and get it precise, do it until your fingers are bleeding. Then as it gets simpler build up your speed. Practice this on all strings, all over the fretboard. This will unlock your fingers and really get them going. Get this down pat and exact then build up. Guitar is my obsession and hopefully this can help you on your way. But the problem with these kinds of cheap acoustic guitars is that they do not have the same sound quality as the wooden ones.

If you choose to buy a guitar not made from wood it will often not sound round and you may find that you give up the guitar because you become frustrated. Therefore, it is better if you can only afford to buy a cheap acoustic guitar you get one that is made from wood, rather than saving money on a guitar which you will not like playing.

When you start looking for a cheap acoustic guitar, go for one that has a solid wood top rather than one made from plywood. You will find that the solid wood top give a much richer and fuller tone to the sound it makes. Plus if you can afford to then buy a guitar which not only has a solid wood top but a solid wood back and sides as well.

There are plenty of such guitars available and one that should be high on your list to consider is the Seagull S6. Although not cheap it is certainly value for money as you are unlikely to want to buy another acoustic guitar once you have this one. This particular guitar has a solid cedar top and the sides are made from solid mahogany and which is why it makes such a beautiful sound when played. The fact is that this guitar is of such high quality then many professional musicians will keep this guitar even though they may have several more expensive ones as well.

You can expect to pay around $400 to $500 for this guitar, but if you are really serious about learning to play the guitar then it is wise to invest a little extra in the instrument you buy. However, if you search online you may well find that you are actually able to get some really great deals on this guitar if you spend time looking for it.

Along with the Seagull S6 another very good acoustic guitar to consider purchasing and which is costs less is the Yamaha F310. Rather than a solid wood cedar top this has a spruce one instead. But as with the Seagull S6 this guitar has a mahogany back and sides. On average you can expect to pay between $150 and $200 for this particular guitar and is a very common choice for those people who are serious about learning to play the guitar.

Along with the Yamaha F310 there is also the Epiphone DR-100 which costs slightly less and prices range from $120 to $150 for this particular model. But although it costs less than the Yamaha F310 it is actually made from the same kinds of wood, spruce for the top of the guitar and mahogany for both the back and sides. Of the three guitars we have mentioned this is the ideal one to purchase if you are still unsure as to whether this is the right musical instrument for you or not. But if you do purchase to learn to play the guitar then at some point in the future you will find that you need to upgrade to a better one.

Yes there are plenty of guitars available which will cost you less than $100 but these should be avoided at all costs especially as a guitar for learning with. The quality of the sound that they produce is badly effected because of the materials that they have been constructed from. In many cases you will often find that those who invest money in such guitars will often give up after a few lessons simply because the sound they make is not what they were expecting.

If you are serious when it comes to getting cheap acoustic guitars in order to learn how to play them then you can not go far wrong with getting one of those mentioned above. However, if you still find that you do not have sufficient funds to purchase a new one why not visit your local music or guitar store and see what second hand ones they have. Doing this you will be able to try a number of different ones out and see which one you like the feel of and which feels comfortable when you try to play it.
